Launceston Fire Station Trip-11th February 2019

On Monday 11th February, Year F visited Launceston Fire Station as part of their 'People who Help Us' topic. They listened carefully to the firefighters when they answered their questions and explained all about their job and how they help people. They enjoyed looking around the fire engine and learning about the equipment that is transported on board and why, as well as learning about a firefighter's uniform and meeting the station dog! Finally, they enjoyed using the hose to put out the pretend flames in the wooden house. A big thank you to all at Launceston Fire Station for allowing Year F to visit and taking the time out of their very busy day to talk to us. The children learnt lots, listened well and behaved beautifully. Finally, a big thank you to our parent helpers for coming on the trip with us.
