Visit by 'The Cornish Caretakers'

12th June 2019

A fantastic day today with Kernow King and 'The Cornish Caretakers'. Year 6 had a workshop looking at Cornish heroes and famous Cornish people (such as John Couch Adams who discovered the planet Neptune, Bobby Leach, the first man to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel, Rowena Cade, builder of The Minack and Emily Hobhouse who pioneered healthcare in Africa), followed by a whole school play called 'Cornish Caretakers', which was fantastic and very funny! The children (and staff!) all enjoyed the characters and have learnt lots about their local heritage and history. A big thank you to Kernow King and the team and a huge thank you to our wonderful PTFA for funding this enrichment event for all.
