Visit to Launceston Castle

Year Five visited Launceston Castle this week as part of our study of the Normans linked to our Invaders topic for the Autumn term.  Originally built by the Normans as a Motte and Bailey castle Year Five looked around the remains of the castle as well as playing the part of attackers and defenders to see it's strengths and weaknesses.  We all went to the top of the keep!  We could see where the school is from there and had a little bit of a local geography lesson while we were up there.
