Cornwall at War Museum trip

In our history work we have been studying World War Two. As well as gaining an understanding of the cause and effect of key events, we have also looked in greater depth at the factors that lead to our success during the Battle off Britain. We have also spent some time learning about the role Cornwall played in the war and how it affected the lives of the people living here. We discussed changes in land use and the appearance of numerous airfields along the North Coast.
Today, we were lucky enough to visit the Cornwall at War museum at Davidstow. We were able to contextualise our new knowledge from the classroom and bring it to life with first hand experience of a range of exhibits, we even got a certificate after our marching on parade!!
Everyone had a great time and learned many new things. Well done Y6 for representing our school so well - we were complimented ;)
