Autumn Bikeability

Year 6 Bikeability – A Brilliant Start!
Year 6 have made a fantastic start to their Bikeability sessions this term. In their very first session, the children showed real resilience as they began learning new cycling skills and practising them in real-life situations. They have already started to develop a strong understanding of how to stay safe when riding their bikes on the road.
One of our key targets in the school’s Sustainability Plan is to review how we travel to and from school and to promote more eco-friendly options. Encouraging more children to walk, cycle or scoot to school plays an important part in reducing air pollution around the Launceston area and supporting everyone’s health and wellbeing.
We’re excited to see more of our Year 6 pupils using their bikes or scooters for their school journey and the children can’t wait for their next lesson.
