Exploring Habitats in Wild Tribe

During the first half of Spring Term the children had the opportunity to learn about Habitats, and even had the opportunity to create some themselves. After lots of discussion about what the creature may need; warm, safe, dry, the children worked individually and as part of a team to construct the new homes.

Our bird houses, hedgehog houses and nests taught the children the importance of caring for our environment and all who live there. We've talked about environmentally friendly resources and all aspects of being a sustainable citizen, recycling and taking positive actions. We finished the term off by building a giant den for all the children to use, mastering communication and showing fantastic teamwork.

The children demonstrated the school values of Communication, Planning and Problem Solving, Creativity, Relationships and Determination.
