London Residential for Year 5's

10th May 2023

Our Year 5 pupils and staff have had a wonderful time in London over the past few days; a fantastic residential that links brilliantly to their work on Democracy and Parliament. They have managed to visit so many famous sites and retrace the King's coronation carriage route . They experienced the London Eye and the chance to see our capital City from a different viewpoint, had fun exploring and experimenting in the Science Museum and learnt so much during their workshop held in the Houses of Parliament. As if this wasn't enough, they also had the once in a lifetime opportunity to spend the night on the former battleship HMS Belfast ! That certainly is a unique place for board and lodgings! What a fantastic experience for our children . A HUGE thank you to their teacher , Mr, Hunt and the wonderful staff team accompanying him for organising this trip. These enrichment experiences are such a vital and exciting part of our curriculum offer -they certainly bring learning alive for the children. The children demonstrated excellent manners and great learning behaviours throughout the trip- they were super ambassadors for Team St Stephens .
