School Summer Fayre

22nd June 2019

On Saturday 22nd June our wonderful PTFA ran a fabulously successful Summer Fayre to raise funds for enrichment activities and resources for all our pupils at St Stephens Academy. The hard work and effort that has gone into this event ,not only on the day but for many months beforehand, does not go unnoticed and so from us all at St Stephens a HUGE THANK YOU.

The fayre was opened by our Town Mayor accompanied by our school Samba band. There were a wealth of food and  craft stalls, a BBQ and many activities including an inflatable football pitch from Plymouth Argyle, bouncy castle, the local police and police cadets and a raffle with generous prizes donated by the local community. All afternoon in the sunshine we had a 'Performance Stage' where many children showcased their amazing talents from poems they had written to dance and song routines. St Stephens really does have talent! A huge thank you must also go to one of our parents; Mr Steve Dodds, who took to the stage and had us all singing along with his fabulous Elvis tribute set.

Thanks also to all of you who came along and supported this event -we couldn't do it without you. The final total raised was an amazing £1409.72- wow what amazing opportunities the PTFA can now support in our school.
