Reading is a huge part of our school and this week we were delighted to receive our first Reading Rocks delivery. https://wherereadingrocks.com/

This is a book subscription where we will receive 4 boxes of books per half term. 1 box for Foundation, 1 box for Years 1 and 2, 1 box for Years 3 and 4 and 1 box for Years 5 and 6.

We are going to be using these books in lots of different ways as the books are such high quality texts, including a high level of vocabulary. They may be used for our reading lessons, where we learn about texts for a week/number of weeks depending on the year group. They might also be used as our class read to share with the children every day. This is to promote reading for pleasure and the enjoyment of listening to and sharing a story. We are also holding regular 'Reading for Pleasure' assemblies with the children and these books might form part of these assemblies.
