Wild Tribe First Aid
Class 5 have had a fun-packed and informative day learning first aid. We began the morning being introduced to their activity booklet and were taken outside to engage in an icebreaking game and warming up our bodies.
Mrs. Roberts modelled how to apply a bandage, tie a wreath knot, how to use a defibulator and even make a temporary stretcher. Class 5 have learned how to put people safely in the recovery position and how to call for help. The class learned how and when to call 999 and which emergency service they would need. The children were very keen to try these new skills out on their peers and embed the knowledge from the session. Great life skills in action today and our school values of Relationships, Advocacy, Creativity and Leadership well and truly in action!
We completed the day session with a campfire and marshmallows! Very well deserved indeed.
