Using different methods to solve a problem
This week Class 3 have been using place value frames and ‘part –whole’ models to help them solve different calculation problems. The main focus has been on dividing a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number. By using different strategies the children were able to explain their understanding, check their answers and become more fluent in their number skills.
