Marcus Rashford book - virtual author visit

Year 6 were lucky enough to be among some of the few pupils across the country that took part in a virtual author visit with Alex Falase-Koya, the author of Marcus Rashford The Breakfast club Adventures: The Ghoul In The School. Not only were we able to take part in this opportunity, but we were also able to take home a copy of the book! In the initial part of the meeting, Alex talked us through his writing process of where he gets his ideas from and how he sets them out. He read aloud, sharing his favourite part of the story and we read along with him. It was then our opportunity to be guided through the story writing process with him. We were all able to pick any genre and develop a story, following his guidance, which we then shared with each other at the end. It was great fun and very productive - Thank you Alex :)
