Science Week - WC 9th March 2026

What an incredible Science Week we’ve had in Class F/1! Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement, curiosity, and plenty of colourful explosions.

Monday: We launched our very own pop rockets! With just an effervescent tablet and a splash of water, our tiny pots blasted high into the air—it was amazing to watch them zoom off!

Tuesday: Next came our mini volcanoes! We mixed vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, and bright food colouring to create bubbling, fizzing eruptions. The children were mesmerised by the rainbow‑coloured lava.

Wednesday: We made magical rainbows using Skittles and water. As the colours melted and spread, we watched beautiful patterns swirl across our plates.

But that’s not all! Throughout the week, we’ve been captivated by the transformation of our frogspawn—now wiggly tadpoles, with some even growing tiny legs. We also painted cheerful daffodils and experimented with colour mixing in our water play.

What a wonderfully busy and brilliantly fun week of science exploration!
