Barnardo's workshop in Year 2

Year 2 had a fun and informative morning with Morwenna from Barnardo's.  First they played a game  where they had to consider if a particular toy or job was for boys, girls or anyone, and then explored the different relationships that they have with different people - families, friends, school, clubs, etc. The children had the opportunity to think about and name their five trusted adults and consider the different people who keep us safe. This included a reminder on the use of 999 and some information about Childline. They then explored situations when you should talk to a trusted adult which involved some great puppets. Ending the morning with a couple of short stories about keeping safe and privacy, learning about 'ask, listen, respect' and what do to if they feel scared, worried or confused, with reminders about trusted adults.
