Our KS1 children had a fantastic time joining Michael Rosen’s online Poetry Party! With a funny food theme, Michael delighted everyone by sharing hilarious stories and performing his famous poem Chocolate Cake. The children laughed, giggled, and were inspired to create their very own funny food poems — from silly sandwiches to wobbly jelly!
The Poetry Party was not only a chance to celebrate language but also an opportunity for our young writers to see how poetry can be fun, silly, and creative. It was a fantastic event that sparked imaginations and left the children proud of their poetic creations.
