Bike Superstars

Our fantastic Foundation children are really enjoying learning their early bike skills with Miss Lindell. This is only their second week, and already we can see wonderful progress in their confidence, balance, strength and agility. They have been learning key safety tips and role‑playing important “stop” and “go” situations to help them understand how to stay safe and make good decisions while riding.

Beyond the excitement of being on a bike, the children are also developing essential life skills. They are learning perseverance as they practise new techniques, resilience when they wobble and try again, and teamwork as they encourage and support one another. These early cycling sessions help them understand risk, follow instructions carefully, and build independence — skills that will benefit them far beyond the playground.

It’s also a brilliant foundation for becoming amazing young athletes. Through coordinated movements, core strength, spatial awareness and controlled speed, the children are developing the physical building blocks needed for a wide range of sports. Most importantly, they are discovering the joy of being active and developing healthy habits that will support their wellbeing for years to come.
