Our New Sustainability Adventure!

This term, we are starting an exciting new sustainability theme that helps us care for the world around us. We are heading outside to explore nature, learn new skills, and look after our environment.

One of our activities is litter picking. By tidying up our school, we are helping plants and animals stay safe and making our school surroundings cleaner and happier.

We are also learning plant identification, discovering the names of trees, flowers, and weeds, and finding out why they are important for wildlife.

To slow things down and really look closely, we are doing observational drawing. By drawing what we see outdoors, we learn to notice shapes, colours, and tiny details we might usually miss.

These activities help us understand that small actions can make a big difference—and that looking after nature can be fun, creative, and rewarding!
