Our Sustainability Curriculum

9th October 2023

We were delighted to welcome Ashlea Dodsworth from SUSTRANS into school last week to meet our KS2 Steering Group representatives. SUSTRANS work for and with communities, helping them come to life by walking, wheeling and cycling to create healthier places and happier lives for everyone. We are very excited to join this project for the next year as a part of our sustainability curriculum.
One of the first things the group have been involved in has been identifying key areas of the school community in which to check the air quality. Ashlea is returning in a few weeks time to hold a whole school assembly and deliver some air quality workshops with our older aged children. We also have plans for a bike clinic, scooter and bike road safety sessions with children across the school and a BIG walk in the Spring term. Summer term ideas are yet to be confirmed.

This should be a really active and exciting project for our school. The future of the planet really is in our hands so let's make a difference NOW!
